Fair Agenda

Yesterday someone posted on Twitter: "If all the women who have been sexually harassed or assaulted wrote 'Me too' as a status, we might give people a sense of the magnitude of the problem.” Now the words 'Me too' are flooding social media feeds. And the overwhelming response from women across the world is making headlines.

Change is desperately needed – both to prevent sexual violence, and to improve the response and support provided to those affected. Sadly, so many of our leaders and institutions have shown that they are willing to look away and ignore this issue.

It’s why our community’s work – holding our leaders and institutions to account and demanding better – is so important.

Over the past three years, the Fair Agenda community has shown we have the potential to drive important change on this issue. Winning funding for services that support survivors to be safe and be supported through the trauma; and pushing dozens of university residences to provide expert led training to prevent sexual violence. But there’s so much more to do. And we’re being constantly reminded that we not only have to fight for progress; but also to not to dragged backwards.

The campaigning of communities like ours is absolutely vital to winning change on this issue. But it won't be possible without your support. Fair Agenda needs to raise $2,000 by the end of this month to make the immediate next steps on these campaigns possible.
