What we need to stop the parental leave cuts
Can you believe it? First the Government tried to cut paid parental leave on Mother’s Day, now they’re announcing different cuts for Christmas.
And due to some slippery language and an impressively complex proposal, the Government could be about to get away with cutting paid parental leave before the public even realise it.
Our community backlash helped defeated their cuts the first time around. Now we need to respond again. Our number 1 challenge is that media is reporting this story positively as a compromise – which is why we need to move fast to release an expert report that lays out the facts, showing this is simply a terrible policy.
But research doesn't come cheap. It's going to cost $880 to complete and launch a research report, which means we need 24 Fair Agenda members to chip in $37 if we're going to be able to turn this dangerous media debate around. Can you chip in to help make the report possible?
